It tells the saga of two black women from Rio de Janeiro who see their fates forever intertwined during a police operation on Mother's Day. Rita loses her 11-year-old son Sushi to police violence. Edna is the mother of Digão, the policeman who killed the child. Seeking justice and redemption, both will face police corruption and the sluggishness of the justice system.
