Meeting the carefree Laura seems to be just the right thing for Jonas to find his way back to his old life. And Emma also meets Victor in Berlin, who seems to be a nice and interesting guy. Hugo has actually woken up again with the help of his friends! But Hugo has to learn everything all over again, including how to speak. The Red Ribbon Club forges a plan to help Hugo with this. Today is a big day for Leo. He is to receive a prosthetic leg so that he can finally walk again! Magical moments await the Red Ribbon Club in this episode - a rare shooting star night is coming up! What will the friends wish for and how will they experience this special night in hospital? There's also a new arrival on the boys' ward. It's Luke and he seems to have a very unusual ability: Luke can see into the future! What does this mean for the Red Ribbon Club? Can he predict whether Hugo will ever wake up from his coma? And is he right that Jonas will soon be kissing a girl? Will it perhaps be Emma? Leo is by no means unconcerned about the rapprochement between Emma and Jonas - and he is also very worried about Benito.

The sun is shining and the club is given permission to spend the day on the roof of the hospital, where there is a basketball court. Unfortunately, only Jonas and Emma have to stay in their wards. How will they spend the day without the others? Will it bring them closer together? But Leo, Toni and Alex are unfortunately not the only ones who want to enjoy their free time on the roof: A group of older boys, led by Ruben, challenge them to a basketball game. Leo's friends were able to convince him to undergo further chemotherapy. They promise him that someone from the club will always be with him. But this promise is not so easy to keep: Emma reaches her limits when she wants to stand by Leo's side. How will Leo react to the fact that she has let him down in this situation? The other club members are also facing major difficulties. Hugo's mother learns that her son, a coma patient, is at risk of being transferred to another ward, away from his new-found friends. Alex, whose diagnosis is still unclear, is allowed home for one night. But contrary to expectations, this supposed freedom is very hard on him. And Toni gets a new room-mate, Oskar. A boy who appears to have been the victim of domestic violence. Toni resolves to help Oskar. But Toni himself is confronted by the youth welfare office, which questions whether his grandad is still the right carer for him because of his accident. The Red Ribbon Club forges a plan to help Toni!
3	The expedition	2015-11-16
The red ribbon club is finally complete: Leo is the leader, Jonas is the second leader, Toni is the smart one, Alex is the handsome one, Hugo is the good spirit and Emma is the girl! And a difficult first challenge awaits the group: Leo vehemently refuses to undergo further chemotherapy. In the hope of convincing Leo that he must not give up and must continue to fight his illness, the friends decide to go on a secret excursion through the hospital on a stormy night with a very special purpose. How will Leo react? And what if they are caught on their unauthorised night-time foray through the hospital?

Leo develops a plan: he has learnt from Benito that a real gang consists of six people. There would be the leader and the second leader, who would be the leader if the first leader wasn't there, as well as the smart one and the pretty one, the good spirit and the girl. It's clear that Leo is the leader! But will anyone else be found in the hospital to put together such a gang? He quickly finds his first ally in Jonas. But what about Alex, who doesn't want to have anything to do with anyone? Can he even be used for a gang? And what role could he then play? Emma, the girl, is not so easy to convince either. And then there's the somewhat strange Toni, who is admitted to hospital with several broken bones after an accident and has a very special gift. 1	The swimming pool	2015-11-09
Jonas, who has cancer, is to have a lower leg amputated. He becomes the new room-mate of Leo, who has been in hospital for many months and also has cancer. Leo lost his leg some time ago and the two boys share the same fate. Leo and Jonas quickly become friends. They decide that Jonas absolutely must have a farewell party for his leg. But a real party also needs a girl - and the only girl Leo can think of is Emma, who is being treated for her eating disorder on another ward. In addition to Jonas, another new patient is admitted to the hospital: Alex, who collapsed in the school playground after a heart attack. He is put in a room with little Hugo, who has been in a coma for two years. But Alex doesn't want to accept the fact that he is suddenly trapped in a hospital and has a coma patient as his bed neighbour.

Für den Schöpfer der Serie Albert Espinosa stellt das Ende der dritten Staffel „Club der roten Bänder“ auch den Beginn eines neuen Lebensabschnittes dar, wie er in der Doku-Reihe erzählt. ‚In Deutschland war meine Geschichte so erfolgreich wie sonst nirgendwo auf der Welt. Das Finale hier ist für mich ein einschneidendes Erlebnis‘, so Espinosa. Außerdem porträtiert VOX den Schauspieler Sahin Eryilmaz, der in der Serie den beliebten Krankenpfleger Dietz spielt und ohne den der „Club“ das ein oder andere ins Straucheln geraten wäre. Er berichtet in der Doku-Reihe, welche unglaublichen Auswirkungen die Zeit am Set der Serie auf sein Privatleben hatte. Der Erfolgsschriftsteller Albert Espinosa hat in seiner Jugend selbst jahrelang gegen den Krebs gekämpft – seine Erlebnisse aus dieser Zeit bilden die Grundlage vom ‚Club der roten Bänder‘. In der dritten Staffel der Serie beginnt Jonas mit dem Schwimmtraining, auch wenn ihm ein Bein fehlt. Genauso wie Albert Espinosa, der im vierten Teil der Dokumentations-Reihe erzählt, wieso das Schwimmen seine große Leidenschaft ist und zu welchen erstaunlichen Leistungen er in dieser sportlichen Disziplin einmal in der Lage war. Auch die Geschichte von Ronja wird weiter beleuchtet. Sie ist chronisch an Krebs erkrankt und kämpft wie eine Löwin – so wie Leo in ‚Club der roten Bänder‘. ‚Die Serie beschönigt nichts und sie lässt nichts aus, auch nicht, wie schlecht es uns ganz oft geht‘, sagt Ronja und weiter: ‚Club der roten Bänder? fordert einen auf, niemals aufzugeben und immer Hoffnung zu haben. Denn Hoffnung ist das Einzige, was uns bleibt.‘ Das nimmt sich der Teenager sehr zu Herzen und so hat sich Ronja eine Liste von den Dingen gemacht, die sie im Leben unbedingt noch machen möchte. VOX begleitet auch das junge Mädchen Viola weiter in ihrem Alltag. Sie weiß, dass sie sterben muss, denn Viola gilt als ‚austherapiert‘. Mit einer Überlebenschance von nur drei Prozent schickten die Ärzte den spanischen Schriftsteller Albert Espinosa als Jugendlichen in ein Hospiz auf die Baleareninsel Menorca – er starb nicht, sondern wurde gewissermaßen neugeboren und besiegte den Krebs. Während seines Kampfs gegen die schwere Krankheit verlor er ein Bein, die Hälfte seiner Leber und seines Lungenflügels, aber er überlebte. Im dritten Teil der Doku-Reihe zur Erfolgsserie „Club der roten Bänder“ gewährt Espinosa, nach dessen wahrer Geschichte die Serie erzählt wird, dem Publikum einen tiefen Einblick in seine Kindheit und Jugend. Außerdem werden in der Doku die Münchner Schwestern Rinah und Sarah Scheer begleitet, wie sie auf ihrer Reise in die Vereinigten Staaten aufbrechen. Rinah ist ein Mädchen, das dank einer Knochenmark-Spende den Blutkrebs überleben konnte. Und wenn ja, was wird das bei dem jungen Mädchen auslösen? Denn schließlich ist diese Spenderin nicht nur ihre Lebensretterin, sondern auch ihr ‚genetischer Zwilling‘. Die Teenager Jan Nic, Ronja und Chiara haben eines gemeinsam: Sie sind glühende Fans vom „Club der roten Bänder“ und können sich in der Serien-Realität ihrer Film-Helden wiederfinden. Denn die Jugendlichen müssen selbst kämpfen, um sich von ihrem Schicksal nicht unterkriegen zu lassen. Jan Nic ist begeisterter Leistungsschwimmer und nimmt mit nur einem Bein an zahlreichen Wettkämpfen teil. Chiara hingegen ist Opfer einer unfassbaren Mobbing-Attacke an ihrer Schule geworden. ‚Mir blieb nichts anderes übrig, ich musste die Schule wechseln‘, erzählt sie in der Dokumentation. Ronjas Schicksal wurde bereits in der Dokumentation zur zweiten Staffel „Club der roten Bänder“ beleuchtet. Sie ist seit Jahren an Krebs erkrankt und steht unmittelbar vor ihrer nächsten Operation. ‚Was Leo durchmacht, erlebe ich gerade wieder selbst‘, sagt sie. Noch während der Dreharbeiten zu dieser Doku beschloss sie, sich auf die Reise zu ihrer Spenderin und Lebensretterin zu machen, die irgendwo in den USA lebt. Denn Rinah will endlich ihren „genetischen Zwilling“ kennenlernen und in den Arm nehmen. Bei diesem großen Moment begleitet VOX sie und ihre Familie durch die Staaten. Außerdem zeigen die ‚Club der roten Bänder‘-Schauspieler Tim Oliver Schultz, Damian Hardung, Timur Bartels, Ivo Kortlang, Nick Julius Schuck und Luise Befort, wie sich nach drei Jahren Dreharbeiten für die Serie ihr eigenes Leben fundamental geändert hat.
